1 Dead, 2 Injured in Crash Involving Semi-Truck in Oklahoma
Residents of Tulsa, Oklahoma, love their families and sometimes they can get anxious until their loved ones return home safely from work or any other outside activity. Accidents can happen any time or anywhere and a loved one may become an unfortunate accident victim.
In the event of an accident involving large vehicles, such as an 18-wheeler truck, tragic consequences can result because of their mammoth size. The chances of serious injuries or fatalities are much higher in a truck accident than a car accident.
In a recent accident involving a semi on Route 62 near Blanchard, Oklahoma, one person died and two were injured. Officials from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol stated that the crash resulted in a fatality. They also stated that the two injured people were transported to a nearby hospital. The crash took place about five miles west of Blanchard and involved a tanker truck and a small car. Information on the identity of the victims, nature of their injuries and reasons for the crash were not immediately known.
Losing a loved one in a truck accident or having a loved one seriously injured in the accident can impact the victim or his or her family both emotionally and financially. The financial fortunes of the family can get worse if the truck accident victim happened to be the main financial contributor.
A truck accident victim or his or her family has the legal right to seek compensation from the truck owner or truck company or any other negligent party for lost wages, medical expenses or any other applicable damages. Because truck accident cases involve many legal avenues, one may wish to use the services of an experienced attorney when seeking compensation.
